Durvoak

Built by hand. Rooted in the land.

Durvoak is a one-man workshop tucked deep in the northern woods of Canada. Living off-grid in a small cabin, I craft journals, rebind classic books, and make tools for writers, readers, and makers, all by hand. Using traditional methods and natural materials.

Most of what I use comes straight from the forest around me: pens turned from fallen sugar maple, oak boards milled on-site, leather from local deer, paper made in small batches by hand. I also build the tools I work with such as bookbinding presses, leather pairing knives, inkwells, and more.

Every piece is made slowly, with care and intention. It’s practical, rugged, shaped by the land, and made to last.

I believe every story is one-of-a-kind, and I aim to create journals and tools as unique as the stories you’re telling.
